“Education of the heart is the heart of education”, said Fr.Peter Marie Mermier, the founder of the Congregation of the Missionaries of St.Francis de Sales, (MSFS). The members of this Congregation under the Fransalian Education Society, Aldona, are proud to have established and administering this prestigious institution of St.Thomas Higher Secondary School in Aldona, for the past 32 memorable years, imparting knowledge and values to the students of today to become beacons of hope for tomorrow.
The main focus of this Educational Institution, the “heart of education”, is to educate the students who come into the portals of this Higher Secondary School, along with imparting the knowledge, to help grow in the values that are core in one’s heart. As Martin Luther King Jr. would say, “Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education”, the Institution, St. Thomas Higher Secondary School, Aldona, with its Arts, Commerce, Science and Vocational (CRM) Streams, really cares for and looks after the growth of knowledge and character of its students.
The Principal and the Staff of this Institution through their commitment and dedication ensure that the students are equipped and trained to face life boldly as they receive their education and that the students are aware that “Education is the most powerful weapon which they can use to change the world” (Nelson Mandela).
In this fast changing world, where knowledge is power, one needs to go beyond the knowledge received from the books and with the thirst for knowing more, adapt and accept the changes in technologies, computer assisted learning, AI etc., and acquire knowledge and skills to excel in one’s life and also bring about the desirable changes for the betterment of the humanity and the environment around.

May all the Staff and the students put in their best efforts and work smartly to bring about the desired and fulfilling success, contentment and joy by imparting and learning the “Education of the heart”.
May Mary, Mother of Compassion, the Patroness, St. Francis de Sales, the Patron and Fr.
